After 25 years in New York City, I find myself in the charming downtown area of Westerly, RI. But that's not even the half of it. I also lived in Minnesota [twice], California [twice], Nantucket, France, Italy, Vermont, Philadelphia and Boston. I hope Greece is next. I'm getting tired of blustery, frigid Northeast winters. Especially since now I have to shovel.
When I was in college, someone told me I'd have seven careers. I didn't believe it, but I'm sixteen years into career #4.
Career #1 found me in the family business on Nantucket. I was a very fancy basketweaver for twelve summers.
Career #2 found me teaching skiing in Val d'Isere, France and then Vermont. I loved those years. They were the funnest, most adventurous years of my life.
Career #3 found me on Wall Street for twelve, mostly fabulous years. I ended up as a derivatives product specialist. Don't hold that against me, please.
Along the way, I won a Minnesota state piano contest when I was 15, I ran a few New York City marathons and got a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
I'm still a curious, resourceful problem-solver. Sometimes I wonder about careers #5, 6 & 7.
I'm an expert at photographing real people.
I'm really good at composing groups.
I like smart people.
I love kind people.
